Ashton Rivera

Ashton Rivera grew up in upstate South Carolina, and holds a BFA in Dance with an emphasis in Ballet Pedagogy from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Ashton began dancing at the age of 3, training under renowned dance teachers at Ballet Spartanburg, Dance Arts Greenville, and the SC Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities. She has studied various styles of dance, and has extensive experience in teaching and choreography. Currently, Ashton is a company dancer for Impermanent Gallery and participates in the performance company at The Dance Space. This is Ashton’s first year with Dance Moves, and she is so excited to share her love of dance!

The staff is super friendly, welcoming, patient, and helpful. I wish there was more diversity among the students and staff, but that's the case pretty much everywhere in this town!
