We LOVE Dance Moves of Charleston! Our daughter has been taking classes for 10+ years. She's learned a lot, made great friends and had a really great dance experience. The team at Dance Moves is incredibly organized and professional. We are grateful that we found them!

My 6 year old goes to Dance Moves and really enjoys her time there. She's become more confident since she started there and is excited about what she's learned. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, patient, and helpful. I wish there was more diversity among the students and staff, but that's the case pretty much everywhere in this town! We're excited to continue with our classes and absolutely recommend this studio for other families.
My daughter has been dancing here for the past four years and we have had a wonderful experience! The class sizes are small and she gets a lot of individual attention. She has made some wonderful friends and they always seem to be having fun when I pick her up. The teachers helped her with the audition process for Charleston County School of the Arts and for that I will be forever grateful. Dance Moves has really gone above and beyond to make the studio a home away from home where the dancers are always treated like one big family.
We have had so many amazing experiences with Dance Moves of Charleston. Both of my daughters have danced with them for several years and they have learned and grown so much. All of their teachers are so knowledgeable and kind. They really take their time to make sure all their dancers are learning proper technique.
Dance Moves of Charleston has become my daughter's sanctuary for the past 8 years- a place where she can learn, grow, and be herself with her expansive dance family. I have loved watching her technique develop as well as her passion for dance of all genres. Being an educator and administrator, I have always been impressed with the studio instructors. Still, what I have seen at Dance Moves is rare and a breath of fresh air. Not only is quality instruction important to Dance Moves, but also the joy of dance for ALL children is desired. Body positivity and inclusivity is a rare experience in the dance world. The healthy, loving, and supportive environment in this studio is a welcome experience. What a great experience having my dancers here at Dance Moves! I have been so impressed with their growth and improvement, not just in dance, but in their overall coordination and confidence! The teachers and staff are so kind and loving, and actually get to know and care for each of the kids as an individual. Also, they strike a good cross between the stricter "classic" techniques, but with a more relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend if you are looking for a "dance home" on JI!
