Potty Training
All dancers must be fully potty trained in order to participate in any Dance Moves of Charleston activities.
Tuition Policies
Dance Moves requires you to keep an up-to-date method of payment on file in your online account. If you do not provide this we will be asking you to do so before classes begin. This can be a credit or debit (see fees below) or an ACH routing number (no fees apply).
All tuition is due on the 1st of every month August (Prorated) through May for the school year and paid in full for the Summer season.
If tuition or open balances are not already paid by the 15th, your method of payment on file will be AUTOMATICALLY RUN (even if you are NOT on auto draft) for any open balances including but not limited to tuitions, fees, dance apparel sales, etc. No exceptions.
A $15 late fee will apply to all unpaid tuition that was declined or not able to be run on the 15th, and children will not be able to attend class unless this is paid.
Tuition during the school year (August through May) is one fee, divided into 1 prorated payment in August (We begin August 19) and 9 monthly payments Sept - May evenly distributed, even when there are holidays or closings and we do not prorate tuition any months except for the month of August.
Dance Moves of Charleston does not give credit, refunds, and/or prorating for class(es) missed due to holidays, vacations, illness, pandemics, state-wide closings, or weather.
During the school-year season (late August/September through May) each student pays a registration fee ($35 first dancer, $20 each additional dancer in the family). All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
During the school-year season classes there is one 10% discount eligible for each family. This includes dancers that take multiple classes and siblings.
There is a 5% multi-camp discount for Summer Camps 2024. This includes dancers that take multiple classes and siblings.
We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Please note a 2.5% processing fee will be applied to all non-cash payments. We also offer ACH and accept checks and cash which do not have a processing fee.
Roll Over Registration School Year only
All dancers are automatically enrolled in the next School Year season. This means if you are enrolled in the 2024-25 season, you will be automatically enrolled in the 2025-2026 season based on our class recommendations.
There is NO rollover registration for Summer.
There will be a 2-week drop ad period, and you are not obligated to enroll from Roll Over registration. This process is to make registration easier for you and us. We will not charge your account until we hear from you or the deadline has come, which you will get plenty of notice and reminders about.
Sickness
We have a stay-at-home policy for sickness. Please do NOT bring your child to Dance Moves if they are showing any sign of sickness or have a fever.
If a child complains of or shows any signs of sickness once they come into Dance Moves the parent will be called to pick them up immediately.
Dress Code
Dance Moves does require a Dress Code. Please click here to see what that is for your child. We sell limited dancewear in the studio and also have an online store for your convenience. We do shoe fittings in the studio with a scheduled appointment.
Makeup Policy
Each dancer may take up to two makeup classes per class per semester. Make-up classes must be scheduled within the same semester as the missed class. Make-up classes MUST be pre-scheduled through the studio office. Missed make-up classes will still count toward the 2 maximum make-up classes per class, per semester policy.
Missed Summer Camp days are not eligible for make-up days or classes.
Drop off and Pick up Policy
Drop off occurs 5 minutes before class at the glass doors. One of our staff will greet your child and take them safely to their classroom.
Dancers are picked up inside the studio at their classroom, or if applicable, a waiver can be signed to allow children in levels III and up to leave without an adult. ALL preschoolers and levels I-II are required to have an adult pick them up inside the studio.
Please be on time for pick up. We expect all dancers to be picked up no later than 5 minutes after their class.
